Patna Announced 7-day Lockdown from 10 July as Covid-19 cases Spike


The decision was taken by the district administration after 235 Covid-19 positive cases reported from the city.


PATNA: The Bihar government has announced a seven-day lockdown in the capital city Patna from July 10 after seeing a sudden increase in the number of coronavirus cases. 




On Wednesday, 235 Covid-19 positive cases reported from the city keeping in view the district administration took this decision.


The DM of Patna DM Kumar Ravi said the lockdown would stay as a result according to the rules given by the Ministry of Home Affairs with some exceptions in which necessary services would be allowed under strict guidelines.


Seeing the current cases, the Bhagalpur administration has also announced a lockdown for 5 days starting from July 9 in the district. Nawada district has also declared to impose lockdown from 12, July to 14, July.


According to the order of Bhagalpur DM Pranab Kumar, there will be a lockdown in the district from July 9 to 13 July starting by 6:00 Am. Throughout this only necessary services will be allowed. ASs per the current status, 643 persons have examined positive in Bhagalpur out of which 452 recovered and five died.
