The Veteran Actor Jagdeep died in Mumbai at the age of 81 on Wednesday 8, July at his residence. He acted in nearly 400 films but it is his role of Soorma Bhopali in the film Sholay,1975 that remains etched in the audiences’ minds.
The Actor age is 81 and his real name was Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri, who is survived by his sons, Javed and Naved.
At 8.30 p.m he passed away at his house in Bandra. "Due to age-related issues he was not keeping well,” said Mehmood Ali, a close relative.
The other memorable roles played by him were in Purana Mandir and Andaz Apna Apna.
Well-known by his stage name Jagdeep, the Veteran actor also directed the famous movie “Soorma Bhopali” with his character as the protagonist.
